What to Expect
- We’ll arrange a consultation to discuss your patio’s desired features, such as incorporating a fire pit or sitting wall into the design.
- Our team of experts will then create a personalized patio design that caters to your unique preferences and budget requirements.
- The installation process begins by excavating the designated area to a depth of at least nine inches, followed by compacting the subsoil for stability. We also use geotextile fabric and six inches of CR-6 gravel to ensure proper drainage, compacting it with 15,000 lbs of heavy-duty equipment.
- At this stage, we construct any necessary walls.
- After that, we level the surface by applying one inch of concrete sand and lay the pavers, cutting them as necessary to ensure a perfect fit.
- Snap edging is installed around the perimeter of the patio to hold everything in place.
- To finish, we fill the joints of the pavers with Polymeric sand and grade any areas that may have been disturbed during construction.
- We also seed and straw the yard as necessary.

About Middletown, MD
Middletown is a town in Frederick County, Maryland. The population was 4,136 as of the 2010 census. Located in the Middletown Valley that stretches between the Catoctin Mountains on the east and South Mountain on the west, the town reportedly gained its name from its location midway between those ranges.
A young Lieutenant George Washington, while surveying the South Mountain area, reported that Middletown Valley was one of the most beautiful places he had ever seen.
The early German and English settlers started to arrive in the valley in the 1730s. Among them was Michael Jesserong, who paid £66 for 50 acres. He named his property Middletown and sold the first lots there in 1767, the date officially marked as that of the town’s founding.
Middletown has preserved numerous historic structures that represent its different stages of growth and success. The core of the old town, comprising several blocks along West Main Street and South Church Street (MD Route 17), contains several examples of Federal and Greek Revival architecture. With the coming of the Hagerstown and Frederick Railway in the 1890s, the town expanded to the east, where several examples of various Victorian-era styles can be seen, including Queen Anne, Gothic Revival, and later examples of Colonial Revival styles.
To the east, Middletown borders Braddock Mountain, named after the British general Edward Braddock. The mountain itself, along with its community, Braddock Heights, is often said to be the roost of the mythical Snallygaster, a bird/dragon creature said to abduct livestock and people from the surrounding valley.
